What’s Holding Up Full Implementation of Measure 114?

The ruling of one state circuit court judge in Harney County – that’s the hold up.  This judge acknowledges Measure 114 will prevent the gunshot deaths of at least four (4) people in mass shootings in Oregon every year, yet he refuses to take action to stop the carnage.

• A judge who refuses to require passing a background check before a buyer gets a gun, despite overwhelming evidence in the record that background checks reduce gun-related injuries and deaths

• A judge who is out of touch with the law and majority of voters in Oregon

• A judge who seems more concerned about the outcome than the law and the proof presented
